Demcore Battery has initiated a project that will contribute to the Turkish economy and support the global ecosystem by recovering cobalt, nickel and lithium from secondary batteries. Rechargeable, long-lasting batteries are widely used in devices like laptops, tablets, phones, and digital cameras, and their role in daily life is growing every day. Due to the valuable metals they contain, like lithium, nickel, and cobalt, these batteries are highly important as strategic and economic resources for the world. As the demand for these metals rises, natural sources alone will not be enough to meet it. Recycling plays a critical role in supplying these materials and reducing the need for new raw materials. Demcore Battery will aim to be a key player in collecting batteries and processing them through physical and chemical methods to obtain different types of raw materials, benefiting both Turkiye and the world.
